En Choropampa a 8 años del derrame de mercurio, la Minera Yanacocha aún no se ha preocupado en construir un moderno hospital, que pueda controlar esta enfermadad mortal (parestesia) que vienen sufriendo lo pobladores.<\/p>\n

El Alcalde de Choropampa, Vicente Zarate Minchán, ingresó al Centro de Salud con el síntoma de pérdida de fuerza en los músculos, el día viernes a las 11 de la mañana, luego devino con su muerte en Chiclayo.<\/p><\/div>\n

Según el médico del Puesto de Salud, Edgar Atalaya Merino, define esta enfermedad  como la sensación anormal de los sentidos que se traduce por una sensación de hormigueo y adormecimiento, producido por una patología en cualquier sector de las estructuras del sistema nervioso central, en las partes que más se da estos síntomas son en los brazos, manos y pies. También dijo, que existe una probabilidad que la muerte del alcalde fue provocada por el derrame de mercurio, que por cierto se tiene que corroborar con exámenes especializados.<\/p>\n

También advirtió que en Choropampa existen un promedio de 80 personas que presentan casi los mismos síntomas. Estas personas no reciben el adecuado tratamiento, por eso los mandan de inmediato a Cajamarca, ya que su Centro de Salud cuenta sólo con una obstetriz, una enfermera, un técnico y un médico, para poder atender adecuadamente a los pacientes con síntomas de parestesia, se necesita un neurocirujano, añadió Atalaya.<\/p>\n

Juana Martínez Saénz, presidenta del Frente de Defensa de Choropampa, dijo que un 90% de pobladores tienen los mismos síntomas y que ya son como 10 los fallecidos por el mercurio en la sangre. También añadió,  que la aseguradora Pacífico le brinda el servicio a la Minera Yanacocha, no tiene ninguna respuesta positiva ante esta situación que esta alarmando y preocupando a toda la población.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
