Cineastas de EE.UU. han encontrado y reconstruido una copia de un desconocido documental de investigaci\u00f3n sobre el destino fatal del joven etn\u00f3grafo Michael Rockefeller.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">  <!--more-->  Un heredero mimado de la dinast\u00eda multimillonaria estadounidense, el hijo menor del entonces gobernador de Nueva York y luego vicepresidente de EE.UU., Nelson Rockefeller, desapareci\u00f3 durante una expedici\u00f3n cient\u00edfica a la isla de Nueva Guinea, en noviembre de 1961.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las circunstancias de aquella desaparici\u00f3n fueron motivo de rumores ya en la d\u00e9cada posterior a los hechos y el escandaloso editor de la revista &#8216;Argosy&#8217;, Milt Machlin, decidi\u00f3 estudiar el caso en persona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El periodista viaj\u00f3 a Nueva Guinea en 1969 en b\u00fasqueda de respuestas al enigma, apoy\u00e1ndose en un testimonio que sosten\u00eda que el joven etn\u00f3grafo estaba retenido contra su voluntad por la tribu de los asmatos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero lo que descubri\u00f3 difer\u00eda de esta versi\u00f3n inicial: la tribu, cuyos h\u00e1bitos Rockefeller hab\u00eda ido a estudiar, practicaba el canibalismo, y hab\u00eda evidencias de que el propio estudioso cay\u00f3 v\u00edctima de esa costumbre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Machlin, quien hab\u00eda acu\u00f1ado expresiones como &#8216;tri\u00e1ngulo de las Bermudas&#8217; y &#8216;abominable hombre de las nieves&#8217; (en referencia al yeti), film\u00f3 todo lo que ten\u00eda relaci\u00f3n con el tr\u00e1gico destino de Rockefeller.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seg\u00fan la empresa Netflix, citada por &#8216;Page Six&#8217;, la cinta de 16 mm rodada en tierras pap\u00faas corrobora la versi\u00f3n de la muerte del joven a manos de los abor\u00edgenes en un terrible rito antrop\u00f3fago. Pero el autor nunca la ense\u00f1\u00f3 al p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 1979, la madre del joven etn\u00f3grafo encarg\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n independiente a un detective particular. S\u00f3lo se sabe que este consigui\u00f3 y llev\u00f3 a Nueva York tres calaveras de supuestas v\u00edctimas del canibalismo en Nueva Guinea, todas de raza europea.
