A bordo viajaban tres personas que resultaron heridas. Una mujer que circulaba por las inmediaciones del lugar tambi\u00e9n sufri\u00f3 lesiones. Al menos cuatro personas resultaron heridas de extrema gravedad al estrellarse un avi\u00f3n de pasajeros contra la valla que rodea una escuela en las cercan\u00edas del Aeropuerto Internacional de Durban, en el este de Sud\u00e1frica, inform\u00f3 la agencia local SAPA.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la agencia, el avi\u00f3n de South African Airways (SAA), con capacidad para 50 pasajeros y cuyo modelo no se precis\u00f3, llevaba s\u00f3lo tres personas a bordo cuando se estrell\u00f3, a las 8.00 hora local (06.00 GMT), contra la valla de la escuela secundaria Merebank, a unos tres kil\u00f3metros del aeropuerto. La cuarta persona herida es, seg\u00fan SAPA, una mujer que se encontraba en el momento del accidente en las inmediaciones de la escuela realizando la limpieza de una calle. El avi\u00f3n se parti\u00f3 en dos en el choque y restos de la aeronave quedaron esparcidos a ambos lados de la valla de la escuela, que se encontraba vac\u00eda debido a que hoy es fiesta en Sud\u00e1frica, donde se celebra el D\u00eda del Patrimonio Nacional, lo que evit\u00f3 males mayores, consign\u00f3 el diario ADN.es.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/stories\/09\/09\/240909\/SAFRICAN.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"SUD\u00c1FRICA: UN AVI\u00d3N SE ESTRELL\u00d3 CONTRA UNA ESCUELA Y PROVOC\u00d3 CUATRO HERIDOS GRAVES\" title=\"SUD\u00c1FRICA: UN AVI\u00d3N SE ESTRELL\u00d3 CONTRA UNA ESCUELA Y PROVOC\u00d3 CUATRO HERIDOS GRAVES\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Hasta el momento, los equipos de rescate han conseguido sacar a dos de los ocupantes del avi\u00f3n, que han sido trasladados en helic\u00f3ptero a un hospital cercano, y trabajan para extraer al que resta del amasijo de metal en que ha quedado convertido el aparato. Testigos citados por SAPA se\u00f1alaron que el avi\u00f3n volaba \u00abmuy bajo\u00bb y que \u00abesquiv\u00f3 por muy poco\u00bb las casas del vecindario para estrellarse junto a la escuela, un lugar que estaba despejado.<\/p>\n<p>El ministro de Transportes, Sibusiso Ndebele, se\u00f1al\u00f3 en un comunicado que personal de la Autoridad de Aviaci\u00f3n Civil (CAA) se hab\u00eda trasladado al lugar para iniciar la investigaci\u00f3n de los hechos y dese\u00f3 a los heridos una pronta recuperaci\u00f3n, pero no a\u00f1adi\u00f3 detalle alguno sobre el accidente. Adem\u00e1s del personal de rescate y de la CAA, han acudido al lugar representantes de la aerol\u00ednea SAA y de la Compa\u00f1\u00eda de Aeropuertos de Sud\u00e1frica (ACSA) para estudiar las circunstancias del accidente.
