Un Airbus A380 de la compa\u00f1\u00eda Air France efectu\u00f3 el viernes el primer vuelo comercial del avi\u00f3n gigante sobre el Oc\u00e9ano Atl\u00e1ntico, uniendo Par\u00eds y Nueva York con m\u00e1s de 500 personas a bordo.<\/div>\n

El avi\u00f3n con la matr\u00edcula F-HPJA despeg\u00f3 a las 10H40 GMT (11H40 locales) del aeropuerto parisiense de Roissy y aterriz\u00f3 a las 18H07 GMT (13H07 locales) en el aeropuerto Kennedy de Nueva York, indic\u00f3 a la AFP en la terminal a\u00e9rea norteamericana, Cedric Leurquin, portavoz de Air France. Al mando del vuelo AF380 estuvieron el comandante de a bordo Benoit Laurent y una copiloto, Patricia Haffner, primera mujer que obtuvo el diploma de la Escuela Nacional de Aviaci\u00f3n Civil (ENAC) francesa.<\/div>\n

De las 500 personas a bordo, 380 fueron pasajeros que pagaron su billete en una subasta, en promedio de 1.000 euros por plaza en clase econ\u00f3mica (1.400 d\u00f3lares), que ser\u00e1n destinados a obras de beneficencia. El resultado neto de esta subasta deber\u00eda alcanzar \u00abm\u00e1s de 300.000 euros\u00bb (unos 450.000 d\u00f3lares), anunci\u00f3 el director general de Air France, Pierre Henri Gourgeon.<\/div>\n

A bordo tambi\u00e9n viajaron varios dirigentes de Air France y de otras compa\u00f1\u00edas francesas. Air France prometi\u00f3 un trato especial para sus dos primeros vuelos transatl\u00e1nticos -el s\u00e1bado el A380 har\u00e1 la ruta Nueva York-Par\u00eds-, con \u00absorpresas\u00bb y algunos regalos.<\/div>\n

La novedad atrajo tambi\u00e9n al personal de a bordo: \u00abRecibimos m\u00e1s de 3.000 candidaturas de azafatas y auxiliares de vuelo para efectuar los primeros vuelos\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Gourgeon.<\/div>\n

Los vuelos comerciales regulares comenzar\u00e1n el 23 de noviembre. Air France cuenta con 12 aviones gigantes.<\/div>\n

Con los A380, Air France tambi\u00e9n volar\u00e1 pronto a Johannesburgo y a Tokio. El vuelo comercial inaugural del A380 hab\u00eda sido efectuado el 25 de octubre de 2007 por la compa\u00f1\u00eda Singapore Airlines entre Singapur y S\u00eddney. Luego, las compa\u00f1\u00edas Emirates y la australiana Qantas tambi\u00e9n comenzaron a operar vuelos con el Airbus gigante.<\/div>\n

Las esperanzas comerciales del A380 se fundan en el desarrollo de los enlaces entre grandes aeropuertos. Boeing apuesta en cambio por los vuelos directos con su avi\u00f3n de largo alcance Dreamliner B787. En cuanto a los vuelos transatl\u00e1nticos, Air France conf\u00eda en que la ruta Par\u00eds-Nueva York, una de las m\u00e1s utilizadas con su mezcla de turistas y empresarios, atraiga a\u00fan m\u00e1s pasajeros con este nuevo avi\u00f3n que ofrece m\u00e1s espacio y comodidades.<\/div>\n

El lanzamiento de los vuelos transatl\u00e1nticos del Airbus A380 tiene lugar en un momento delicado para Air France, que anunci\u00f3 un plan de despidos voluntarios negociados para cerca de 1.500 asalariados, en una coyuntura de retroceso del tr\u00e1fico mundial de pasajeros.<\/div>\n
