Las partes pretenden acordar un contrato por un volumen total de suministro de hasta 1,8 millones de toneladas de SAF a partir de 2024, en un plazo de siete a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tal acuerdo ser\u00eda una de las cooperaciones comerciales m\u00e1s importantes de SAF en el sector de la aviaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como\u00a0<strong>el mayor compromiso de SAF de ambas compa\u00f1\u00edas hasta la fecha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La cooperaci\u00f3n permitir\u00eda al Grupo Lufthansa promover la disponibilidad, el aumento del mercado y el uso de SAF como un elemento esencial para un futuro de la aviaci\u00f3n sin emisiones de CO2.<\/strong>\u00a0El Grupo Lufthansa ya es el mayor cliente de SAF en Europa y aspira a seguir siendo uno de los grupos de aerol\u00edneas l\u00edderes en el mundo en el uso de queroseno sostenible. El MoU se basa en la ambici\u00f3n de Shell de tener al menos el 10% de sus ventas mundiales de combustible de aviaci\u00f3n como SAF para 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SAF: el combustible del futuro de la aviaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SAF es un combustible de aviaci\u00f3n que se produce sin el uso de fuentes de energ\u00eda f\u00f3sil,<\/strong>\u00a0como el petr\u00f3leo crudo o el gas natural, y muestra un ahorro de CO2 en comparaci\u00f3n con el queroseno convencional. Existen varios procesos de producci\u00f3n y diferentes materias primas est\u00e1n disponibles como fuentes de energ\u00eda. La generaci\u00f3n actual de SAF, que ahorra un 80% de CO2 en comparaci\u00f3n con el queroseno convencional, se produce principalmente a partir de residuos biog\u00e9nicos, por ejemplo, de aceites de cocina usados. A largo plazo, SAF puede permitir una aviaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1cticamente neutral en CO2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El Grupo Lufthansa ha estado involucrado en la investigaci\u00f3n de SAF durante muchos a\u00f1os<\/strong>, ha creado una extensa red de asociaciones y est\u00e1 impulsando la introducci\u00f3n de combustibles de aviaci\u00f3n sostenibles de pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n en particular. Se presta especial atenci\u00f3n a las tecnolog\u00edas con visi\u00f3n de futuro power-to-liquid y sun-to-liquid, que utilizan energ\u00edas renovables o energ\u00eda solar t\u00e9rmica como portadores de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Al usar SAF, los clientes del Grupo Lufthansa ya pueden volar sin emisiones de CO2<\/strong>.
